OBD-II code · Electrical & Network
The ABS module stopped answering on the network. Same story as most U-codes: power, ground, CAN wiring, a failing module driver — or a battery so weak modules drop offline.
ABS module replacement ($900–$1,500) without load-testing the electrical supply that feeds it.
Typical guess-and-swap cost: $900–$1,500 (module) when it is a $180 battery or a $40 connector repair
Full battery/alternator test, CAN waveform check at the ABS connector, pin verification for corrosion, then module power/ground. If every other module still sees the ABS on the bus, the network is usually fine.
