Dashboard light guide · Glass Box Diagnostics
You can keep driving gently for now, but the system behind this light is degraded or unverified. Do not let it become a weeks-later problem.
Solid amber means at least one tire is roughly 25% low on pressure (or a sensor has gone silent). Flashing for the first minute then solid means the system itself has a fault — usually a dead sensor battery or a sensor that lost its ID after a rotation. Either way, check your cold pressures with a real gauge first; that step is free and rules out the obvious.
All-four-sensors-need-replacing, $600 — including two that just needed a relearn after your tire rotation, a procedure that costs nothing with the right tool.
Typical guess-and-swap cost: $400–$700 (four-sensor cannon) when a relearn procedure or one $30 sensor was the answer
A scan-tool TPMS check-in reveals each sensor ID, pressure, temperature and battery state — the silent ones identify themselves. Then match to actual tire pressures. Nobody guesses which sensor is dead when the tool lists them by name.
